Personal Inventory

Personal Inventory is a place where unused DIDs are stored for later use. While DIDs exist in this area, they are not live (if they are called, you will not receive inbound traffic). Once the DID(s) are moved from Personal Inventory to Active Inventory, they can be used.

To access this feature, go to DIDs > Management > Personal Inventory.

The button Move Active DIDs to Inventory will direct to the DID Inventory wizard, which will display all active DIDs on the account. From here choose which DIDs to move to the personal inventory.

Place check marks in the boxes next to the DID(s) to move to Inventory, then click "Inventory Selected DIDs".

While DIDs are in the Personal Inventory, they can be moved to the Active inventory by clicking the Activate button. Doing so will move the DID into the Unconfigured DIDs section where they will need to be assigned to an endpoint group before they are live.
Please click here for our Wiki article on Unconfigured DIDs.

Note: There is a charge for DID's activation fee whenever they are moved from Personal to Active Inventory. There is no fee to move DIDs from Active to Personal Inventory. Any DIDs ordered directly into inventory from the Back Office via Purchase DIDs will not be charged activation fees until they are Activated.

Auto Fulfillment Rules
Another feature of the Personal Inventory page is our auto fulfillment rules.

Click Create Rule to start the Auto Fulfillment Rule Wizard.

Choose an option and click Next to proceed. We will start with Auto Inventory.

The only options that are required are State and Rate Center. Please note that we are only able to order DIDs by Rate Center, so because of this we cannot guarantee the exact NPA-NXX that will be received.

The rule will now appear in the list:

Feel free to adjust the quantity at any time and click Update. Based on this rule, we would always keep at least three DIDs in the PTTSBGZON1 rate center in PA. If two DIDs are moved from this rate center out
of the personal inventory, then this rule would add two more DIDs to the inventory as soon as possible.

The other option (Reserve & Notify) is very similar to Auto Inventory, however this one will send an email when the DIDs are available. The DIDs will be reserved to the account for 24 hours and can be inventoried directly from the e-mail via a hyperlink.
Here is a sample of one of these e-mails:

Go to the Reserved DIDs section in the back office to choose what you'd like to do with the above DIDs.
This auto fulfillment rule is disabled until you either purchase the reserved DIDs or enable the rule in the Personal Inventory Management section.
