Toll-free SMS

Much like 10-DLC SMS, Toll-Free DIDs must be properly registered before sending outbound SMS traffic to the VI network.

Anyone wishing to send SMS should download and complete the form listed below. This form must be completed for each individual use-case and may include multiple numbers. For example:

Example 1 - 10 Toll-Free numbers that all belong to a single business and send automated notifications for curbside pickup would submit 1 Verified Sender Request

Example 2 - 2 Toll-Free numbers both belong to a single business. 1 number is used for manual customer care notifications, but the other number is used to send 2 Factor Authentication traffic. This user would be required to submit 2 Verified Sender Requests.

Once the form is completed, please contact VI Support through the Back Office and include the completed document(s).

Please note that your use case is subject to approval by VI’s DCA (Direct Connect Aggregator) and adjustments to the operation of your number may be required. Any outbound SMS traffic sent before receiving approval may be rejected.

At this time, use case approvals may take up to 8 weeks to be processed by VI’s DCA.
